Getting up to 23 degrees on Thursday Jan. 27, 2022 we knew there would be hope for some sun with the blue sky peeking out. The hoar frost on the trees sparkles so they look pretty too. East of Moscow looking north toward Moscow Mountain. Taken by Karen Purtee, Moscow.

Image: It was hummingbird reunion day at our house east of Moscow. Several species all coming for dinner at the same time on Thursday, May 19th. We have other feeders, but the front window was the feeder of choice for three pairs of three different species. Then the reflection off of the glass makes the photo appear to have 12 birds buzzing about. The copper colored Rufus is at 9 o'clock; the Black-chinned at 3 o'clock; and, the Broad-tailed at 6 o'clock. All the females are green. (The Calliope pairs use other feeders.)
