On May 3, the Webster Elementary Fishing Club visited Head Gate Pond near Asotin. Joey Church, age 10, caught a 13-inch Rainbow Trout. This fish earned him a trophy for the biggest fish on the trip. His parents at Alex and Jeane Church. Photo taken by Thomas O'Brien of Lewiston.

The poppies are actually accidental volunteers in a new Palouse Prairie pollinator strip that was planted last fall. The poppies are not native, but it was decided to leave them.

Webster Elementary's Girl Power Group visited the LCSC Men's Tennis Team on March 20th. The Team worked with the girls on tennis skills. Photo taken by Jennifer Wallace of Clarkston.
Whitman Elementary students in grades 4th,5th & 6th visited Head Gate Pond after school on May 16th as part of the Annual PTA Fishing Trip. Students caught 40 fish in total. And the biggest fish caught was a 14 inch Rainbow Trout!
Jennifer Wallace of Clarkston met her Iditarod Idol while visiting Fairbanks, Alaska, on June 21. Lance Mackey, 45, is the first person to claim four consecutive Iditarod championships. He also accomplished winning the Yukon Quest & the Iditarod in the same year. This feat seemed impossible and is now seen as one of the most impressive accomplishments for a sled dog musher.
