The Emperor

Aries: March 21-April 19

The Emperor tarot card represents the zodiac sign and god of war, Aries, the giver of rules and holder of authority. In this illustration, we see a large ram standing on the edge of a mountain, the simple image vividly representing what The Emperor stands for.

The Emperor is a masculine card of the major arcana invoking strength, power, structure and success. The crown above the ram’s head indicates the Emperor's rule and authority. He has power over the matter at hand.

In a reading, the Emperor typically represents a strong-minded father figure. When this card is pulled, it could mean matters in your life may need to be forced, but in a positive way. Once the matter is resolved, the Emperor takes responsibility for his actions.

A couple of questions to ask yourself this Aries season should be: “What have I achieved, and over what do I now rule? Of what am I confident?”
