Image: I always wondered what these metal sculptures really looked like close up when leaving Lewiston, ID heading north on U.S. #95. Obviously, they tell some Nez Perce (Nimiipuu) story/legend. To see these sculptures more clearly, I had to expose the photograph much more than the original settings, after taking the photo from the passenger side of a vehicle traveling at 65 miles an hour on 7-24-25.

Native American metal sculptures.

Image: Looking up from the inside of Terry Colgrove's old wooden silo just north of the Lewiston Grade near Highway #95. On the left, a silo door is visible. It is thought a shipbuilder from the west coast built this silo in his spare time, because of the way the lumber was cut. The date of construction is unknown. This photograph was taken on 7-8-25
