"Mayan Archeoastronomy"

When: Fri., Feb. 9, 7-8 p.m. and Sun., Feb. 11, 5-6 p.m. 2024

A guided tour of February night skies, followed by a fulldome video presentation. In many ways, the Mayan civilization developed the most sophisticated and accurate astronomy known in the world prior to the publication of Johannes Kepler’s "Rudolphine Tables," and yet their science was inextricably wrapped in mysticism.
