Screening of the critically acclaimed documentary that chronicles the life and legacy of Stan Brock, founder of Remote Area Medical, a nonprofit organization that delivers free health care services to underserved communities around the world.
The 2 p.m. screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring the film’s director, key stakeholders and health care professionals, providing an opportunity for the audience to engage in a conversation about the challenges of health care access, both globally and locally.
This event is presented by the Snake River Community Clinic and North Idaho Area Health Education Center, two organizations dedicated to expanding access to essential health care services in the region. Snake River Community Clinic, a nonprofit health care provider in Lewiston, has been serving low-income and uninsured individuals with critical medical, dental, and mental health services for years. By supporting this documentary screening, the clinic aims to raise awareness about the importance of affordable health care and mobilize community efforts to address local health disparities.
North Idaho AHEC is also a key partner in this event, focusing on educating and empowering future health care providers to serve rural and underserved populations. Their mission aligns with the legacy of Stan Brock, whose efforts brought health care to remote areas lacking proper medical infrastructure.
