"Netflix's 'The Days' and Ecocinematic Nuclear Disaster"

Rachel DiNitto, professor of Japanese Literature at the University of Oregon, examines the Netflix series "The Days" about the Fukushima nuclear disaster in light of regional and global fears of nuclear disaster and the imperative to reach an American audience. DiNitto is a leading ecocritical scholar focused on Japan and is visiting the University of Idaho as part of the East Asian Ecocinema Symposium, hosted by the Habib Institute for Asian Studies.
