Nicely Camouflaged!

A cute squirrel perched on a tree branch, happily eating lunch. I had to look twice to see the little guy because he blends in so well. He wasn’t the least bit afraid as I crept closer to get the photo. It was taken on the Lewiston levee.

Image: A beautiful Hummingbird Moth flitting from bloom-to-bloom on my hanging basket of Petunias. The photo was taken on September 19, 2023, at around 3PM. At first, I thought it was a very small hummingbird, until I moved closer and got a better look. The curled antennae gave it away. Other than that, the moth flies and feeds just like a hummingbird. What a delight to see!
