Patriotic music planned for Fourth of July concert at Pioneer Park

The Lewis Clark Community Band will celebrate Independence Day on Monday, July 4, with a 3 p.m. concert at Lewiston’s Pioneer Park bandshell.

The group, conducted by Brendan Burns, Joel Pals and James Payne, will play patriotic favorites including “Armed Forces — The Pride of America!,” “The Chimes of Liberty,” “Stars and Stripes Forever” and “The Washington Post March.”

Armed services members and veterans will be asked to stand to be honored when a portion of each branch’s song is played.

The event is free; donations will be accepted. Those attending should bring a chair or blanket.
