"Plenty Good Room: Spirituals, Civil Rights and Gospel Music"
When: Sun., Nov. 5, 1-2:30 p.m. 2023
The Lewis-Clark State College Concert Choir will present a program of spirituals and civil rights music selected from primary sources. The concert will also include poetry by Langston Hughes and Lucille Clifton and will conclude with a set of gospel pieces. Civil rights activist and anthropologist professor Terry Buffington will serve as the emcee for the program to steer the audience through the musical journey.
