Release the kids: Easter egg hunts in the region

Looking for a public hunt? Here are some taking place Saturday and Sunday....

Saturday

Colfax All ages are welcome for the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Colfax Lions Children’s Park. The free hunt is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Kids should bring their baskets. Those who find a golden egg will win a prize basket.

Colton The Community Easter Egg Hunt is at 10 a.m. Saturday at Veterans Park. There will be games, crafts and photos with the Easter Bunny. The event is for ages 3 to 13 and participants should bring a basket.

Craigmont The Craigmont Lions will host their annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday in Craigmont’s City Park starting at 10 a.m. The annual Easter Bake Food Sale will start the day at 8 a.m. at Craigmont City Hall.

Elk River Kids can hunt for money-filled eggs Saturday at the Elk River Lodge. The hunt starts at 1 p.m. Younger children will be separated from older children. Kids will be given bags to carry their spoils. Eggs may contain change, candy, a dollar bill or even a $10 bill. The hunt is funded by donations and money will accepted for next year’s hunt. The hunt will be at the lodge because of snow. The lodge is at 201 S. Main St.

Genesee More than 1,000 eggs will be hidden for the annual Easter Hunt in Upper City Park. The hunt starts at 10 a.m. Saturday and is for kids in fifth grade and younger. Kids will be split into three groups to hunt for candy, toys and money-filled eggs. The hunt is sponsored by the Genesee Civic Association.

Kooskia An Easter Egg Hunt is set for 10 a.m. Saturday in Kooskia City Park. The hunt is for kids up to age 11. They should bring their own baskets. There will be prizes and a bunny hop.

Lewiston The Lewiston Lions Club’s 70th annual Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday at Sunset Park. The hunt is for ages 2 to 9 and starts at 1 p.m. People are advised to arrive early. ——— More than 10,000 eggs will be hidden Saturday at Pioneer Park for a hunt sponsored by New Bridges Community Church. The hunt starts at 10 a.m. and is for ages 18 months to sixth grade. Kids will be separated into groups for fun and safety. There will be a puppet show and music.

Moscow Kids can scout for silver, gold and other colored eggs Saturday on the University of Idaho Administration Lawn. The hunt starts at 11 a.m. and is for infants to children age 12. It is sponsored by the Student Alumni Relations Board. ——— The annual Moscow Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday at East City Park. The hunt starts at 10 a.m. and ends when all eggs are found. The hunt is sponsored by the Moscow Central Lions Club.

Orofino A free Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday at Orofino City Park. Festivities are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Activities include face painting for $1. The hunt is sponsored by the Clearwater Chapter ABATE and the VFW.

 Pullman The town’s 52nd annual Egg Hunt is Saturday at Kruegel Park. The hunt is for children ages 1 to 9. Ages 1 to 4 will start at 10 a.m. Ages 5 to 9 begin at 10:10 a.m. There will be thousands of eggs, prizes and some special surprise guests.

Sunday

Asotin The Asotin Lion’s Club will hold an Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. Sunday. All ages are welcome to the hunt at Asotin City Park.

Clarkston The Clarkston Wesleyan Church will hold an Easter Egg Hunt at 10:15 a.m. Sunday before its service at 1108 Elm St. in Clarkston. A family breakfast by donation is at 9:30 a.m.

Lewiston A free Easter egg hunt for kids ages 1 to 10 is Sunday afternoon at Hereth Park. The hunt starts at 1 p.m. Kids will be divided into groups of ages 1 to 4, 5 to 7, and 8 to 10. The hunt is sponsored by Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 10043 in Lewiston.

Moscow The Tutxinmepu Pow Wow will include an Easter egg hunt at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The hunt is at Moscow Junior High School where the pow wow will be taking place.
