Summer art for kids: recycled robots and collage

UNIONTOWN — Creative art workshops for kids this summer include “Recycled Robot” and “Collage Printmaking” July 14 at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn.

“Recycled Robot” is scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Kids will turn ordinary cereal boxes into robots. They should dress for a messy project. The cost is $18 and includes all materials.

“Collage Printmaking” is from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. It is a fun and easy introduction to printmaking using collage techniques. Paper, lace, tape and more are cut and adhered to a board to make exciting images, patterns and textures. This board is then inked and printed. The cost is $23 which includes all materials.

Both classes are taught by Megan Perkins of Spokane. The registration deadline is July 7. Registrations may be made by calling (509) 229-3414 or online at www.artisanbarn.org.
