"Thanatos UnMasqued"

A dance adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's "Masque of the Red Death." The story introduces Prince Prospero as a false hero, Death as a character that holds dominion over all and the guests eager to follow Prospero as their savior. The adaptation uses dance genres such as ballroom, jazz and lyrical to tell the story of the prince’s rise and fall from savior status, but to also show humanity's own ability to honor those we have lost and find peace with our own mortality.
