"The Outsiders"

Presented by Moscow Film Society as part of its Crazy for Swayze community series, submitted and voted on by community members. In a small Oklahoma town in 1964, the rivalry between two gangs, the poor Greasers and the rich Socs, heats up when one gang member accidentally kills a member of the other. Francis Ford Coppola’s stylistic adaptation of S.E. Hinton’s classic novel features the talents of Matt Dillon, Tom Cruise, Emilio Estevez, Diane Lane, Rob Lowe, Ralph Macchio, and, of course, Patrick Swayze. Screening will be "The Outsiders: The Complete Novel" version, which features 22 minutes of additional footage.
