This is the season to get outside and play in the sun — except when it isn’t.
Exceedingly hot temperatures and poor air quality can send even the most ardent fans of summer in search of air-conditioned fun. Movie theaters are a go-to, and don’t forget to check out your local library’s offerings (see examples in the events calendar).

The indoor aquatic center includes a 25-yard multipurpose pool and a 92-degree recreation pool with a play area for kids. The fitness room can be used on a drop-in basis.
