"You are Here: Writing About Nature"

Workshop with poet Jory Mickelson: In this welcoming and supportive workshop, we will see how the tools of observation and imagination can help us to write about our world. Through the reading of poems, trying some writing prompts and lively discussion, we will come away with new work and inspiration for writing about nature. No previous writing experience is necessary. This workshop is for adults and high school students serious about writing.
Mickelson, a writer, educator and storyteller, is the author of three books of poetry, most recently "All This Divide" (2024) and "Wilderness//Kingdom" (2019) which won a 2020 High Plains Award.
