Mah Jongg was invented in China in the mid-to late 1800s. The game is similar to gin rummy, but instead of using cards it is played with rectangular tiles that make pleasant clicking sounds as the tiles are mixed and dealt. In this class, you will learn the American version of the game. It requires both skill and luck and is flexible enough to be played with two to five players. Instruction for the class is free of charge, but the game requires an official playing card that costs $15. Presented by Friendly Neighbors at the 1912 Center. Last day to enroll is May 14.
