Anderson's acoustics: Country singer John Anderson comes to Clearwater Casino

Country musician John Anderson, whose career stretches more than 30 years, will play at the Clearwater River Casino Event Center at 8 p.m. Friday.

Anderson reached the Billboard country music charts more than 40 times, with No. 1 singles, such as “Swingin,’” and “Straight Tequila Night.”

The country singer has recorded with artists, such as Vince Gill and John Rich of the band Big & Rich. Last August, Anderson shot a music video with Willie Nelson for his song “Willie’s Guitar,” which also features musician Merle Haggard. The video release has not been announced.

Anderson is an inspiration for other artists, such as bass country singer Josh Turner, who listed Anderson as one of his five favorite singers in an interview with Inland360 on June 10.

Anderson’s latest album, “Bigger Hands,” was released in June 2009. This tour is part of the 30th anniversary celebration for his song “Swingin’.”

Concert ticket prices are $35 for premium, $20 reserved and $15 for general admission. Tickets can be purchased at the Clearwater Casino Event Center box office, at or by calling (800) 325-SEAT.
