Netflix has brought Carol Burnett back to television with laughter, cuteness and fun for the whole family.
A Little Help with Carol Burnett is a mix between a standard talk show, Dr. Phil and Kids Say the Darndest Things. Each episode takes on one topic (such as friendship, love, parenting or communication) and explores issues related to it. Every episode has a different celebrity guest (Lisa Kudrow and Mark Cuban are two) who comes forward with their issue relating to the topic and receives advice from a panel of experts: kids.
The results are often both hilarious, because of what the kids say, but at times you see that some kids are wise beyond their years. Burnett expertly plays along and most importantly, lets the kids be kids.
An audience member often seeks advice from the kids with similar results. Episodes are also filled with kids talking candidly to the camera about what friendship is, or how you know youre in love, or other games and gimmicks, like guessing the meaning of popular phrases like cat got your tongue.
Its a joy to see Burnett on screen again. She is cheerful, funny and the perfect host to work with children on the show.
Most of all, A Little Help with Carol Burnett is wholesome entertainment all can enjoy. It doesnt end with a cliffhanger in every episod,e so you dont feel the need to watch it all in one afternoon. You can take your time to enjoy the show when you need a relaxing break with a good friend for 20 to 30 minutes.
