Collective Soul headlines Clarkston's Rockin' on the River

Collective Soul will headline the Rockin' on the River concert July 25 in Clarkston.
Formed in Georgia in the 1990s, the band hit the alternative scene hard in 1993 with the rock anthem  "Shine." The group is known for its guitar driven songs and passionate vocals. Other hits include “December,” “The World I Know," “Precious Declaration,”  “Listen,” “Run,” “Heavy,” “Why, Part 2,” “Vent,” and a duet with Elton John, “Perfect Day.” The group is readying for the release this fall of its ninth album "See What You Started by Continuing."
The band's current lineup is songwriter and frontman Ed Roland (lead vocals/keyboards/guitars), Dean Roland (rhythm guitarist), Will Turpin (bassist), Johnny Rabb (drummer) and Jesse Triplett (lead guitarist).
 The concert is beside the Snake River on the lawn of Dave's Valley Golf, 725 Port Way, Clarkston. Ticket sales will be announced soon.  More information is available at www.rockinontheriver.org.
