The latest Book Night @ Your Library will feature a discussion of “You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me” beginning at 7 p.m. May 24 in the Asotin County Library annex in Clarkston.
The 2017 memoir by Sherman Alexie of Seattle is about the author’s complex relationship with his late mother. The library is at 417 Sycamore St.
May 25-26
Get ready for the season to come with a planetarium show called “Planets of Summer” May 25 and 26 on the campus of Washington State University in Pullman.
The traditional planetarium show will begin at 7 p.m. May 25 and 5 p.m. May 26 in the WSU planetarium in Room 231 of Sloan Hall.
The show will point out summer constellations, review basic sky orientation and zoom in on planets to observe this summer, when Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn all will be visible.
Cost is $5 regular price and free for ages 6 and younger. Payment is by cash or check only.

The C.D. Woodbury Trio hailing from Seattle and Portland brings its mix of blues, jazz and roots to the Kamiah Hotel Bar & Steakhouse the evening of May 26.
The band, which formed in 2015, features Woodbury on guitar and lead vocals, Don Montana on drums and Patrick McDanel on bass.
Music starts at 8 p.m. at the hotel, 501 Fourth St.

Celebrate Memorial Day weekend with a visit to Kendrick May 26 for the daylong 58th annual Locust Blossom Festival, including parades, a fun run, music, lunch and children’s games.
The day begins with a fun run at 8 a.m. starting at Juliaetta Park, and a barbecue beef lunch starts at noon in the Kendrick Fire Hall, and live music by Beargrass goes from noon to 3 p.m. in Kendrick Park. Purchase of an $8 festival button gets festivalgoers lunch and all events.
A parade begins at 10 a.m. in downtown Kendrick.

May 26
Three musical acts will play the evening of May 26 at Humble Burger in Moscow with proceeds to benefit Moscow’s Jubilee School.
Lavoy is a five-member band based in Spokane. They specialize in “blending and layering hints of modern alt-pop and ’80s nostalgia,” according to the band’s website.
Moscow-based Runaway Symphony plays folk/rock and members are Daniel Botkin, vocals and rhythm electric guitar; Chris Lowe, backing vocals and lead electric guitar; Jason Oliveira, drums, percussion and backing vocals; and A.J. Stevens, bass and backing vocals.
Samuel Dickison of Moscow also will play.
Organizers suggest a donation of $7 at the door. Music begins at 9 p.m. at the restaurant, 102 N. Main St.

What better way to spend a holiday than taking in a movie marathon? Moscow’s Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre plans a daylong showing of four Wes Anderson movies May 28.
The marathon schedule includes: * Noon — “Fantastic Mr. Fox” (PG, 2009) * 2 p.m. — “The Darjeeling Limited” (R, 2007) * 4 p.m. — “Isle of Dogs” (PG-13, 2018) * 7 p.m. — “The Grand Budapest Hotel” (R, 2014)
