Silas Elsberry, age 12, from Lewiston, Idaho caught this 37 inch Halibut while jig fishing off of the Alaska Kenai Peninsula, in the Cook Inlet on June 23, 2016. It was a well fought hard battle with the fish stripping out the line a handful of times. Needless to say, Silas out fished his parents Russell and Terri Elsberry during their week fishing in Alaska and were glad their son was along for the trip.
