When: Mondays-Fridays, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Continues through April 5 2024
More than 50 artists from the Palouse region explore the possibilities of portraiture. From marble statues of emperors to paintings of pets, portraits have a long and rich history. Far from being a mechanical replication, a portrait always proclaims the importance of the subject as well as recording elements of its appearance. "Honest Portrayal" presents portraits with a wide range of fidelity to the visible world. While open to artworks that achieve a likeness of form, the exhibition is also inclusive of artworks that convey a true likeness of spirit.
