KOOSKIA A battle of talents will rage Saturday night at the Old Opera House Theatre where locals will compete for the chance to win a trip to TVs American Idol or X-Factor.
The theater is the site of the first Northwestern Idol contest. The winner will be awarded airfare to one of the tryout locations for the TV talent shows.
The event is planned by the theaters new managers, Brandon and Shoni Graves, who recently bought the century-old venue from Brandons parents, Mike and Marcia Graves.
Brandon Graves says 25 contestants have signed up to compete.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and available by calling (208) 926-0094 or at Graves Green Thumb Nursery in Kooskia. The theater is at 011 S. Main St.
