Doris and I experience many beautiful sunrises and sunsets in Indio California but this sunrise was beyond belief.

Driving up the Snake River we found Prickly Pear Cactus in bloom. Also called paddle cactus, it and can be eaten by cleaning the barbs from the leaves and eaten raw and is rich in vitamins and minerals and contains 88 percent water.

Spring is here! The Redwing blackbirds have returned to our bird feeder so Spring is not far behind on Moscow Mountain. This view looks eastward toward Troy from our home on Moscow Mountain. After last week's cold temperatures, the birds and their unmistakable calls, are welcomed. Taken on Friday, February 24, 2023.

An afternoon thunderstorm pops up on the North side of Moscow Mountain on Wednesday, 24 August. After a summer warm morning of mid 70s, the afternoon temperature headed into the upper 80s and the threat of thunder storms all across the Palouse. Photographed from my home East of Moscow.
