Oktoberfest brings beer, brats — and a beer stein show-n-shine — to Pioneer Park

The Hells Canyon Homebrewers’ Club 26th annual Oktoberfest, noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Lewiston’s Pioneer Park, isn’t just beer and brats, though those staples will be present in abundance.

In addition to more than 20 homebrewed micros and authentic German bratwurst with German potato salad and applesauce, the event boasts German music, a beer stein show-n-shine, an unusual bottle opener contest, German costume contest and German car show, organized by Hells Canyon Auto.

Food will be served until 3 p.m.

Tickets, $20, are available at Smokes & Suds and Riverport Brewery.

Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets; no outside coolers or food will be allowed.
