UNIONTOWN - The Palouse Choral Society has named Stephanie Sant the new conductor of its Childrens Choir.
Sant takes over from founding conductor Claire Murphy, who is moving to Texas with her family, according to a news release from the group.
Sant is an experienced teacher in the Moscow School District where she directs the Moscow High School Choir and Jazz Choir, advises the Glee Club, and teaches movement and dance at McDonald Elementary. Shes a member of both the Palouse Choral Society and the Chamber Choir and holds degrees in music and education from the University of Idaho.
The Childrens Choir is an auditioned ensemble of regional singers in grades fourth through seventh that performs two concerts a year in Uniontown. Auditions for new members are by appointment Sunday in Moscow. More details are available online at www.palousechoralsociety.org.
