Performances of ‘Nutcracker’ are Dec. 17 in Moscow

Dancers from throughout the region, ranging in ages from 4 to adult, will bring the classic ballet “The Nutcracker” to Moscow’s Hartung Theater next weekend.

The Moscow Movement Arts Center’s production, set to Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s beloved score, is set for 2 and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 17 at the theater on the University of Idaho campus, 625 Stadium Drive.

Both experienced and novice dancers will take to the stage to tell the story of Clara and her enchanted nutcracker, embodying “numerous, imaginative roles such as the enchanted toys, mice, polichinelles (Mother Ginger's children), mischievous cupcakes, and so much more,” according to a news release.

Seating is reserved and tickets, $15-$35, can be purchased at uitickets.com.
