Registration for University of Idaho Department of Theatre Arts’ new aerial arts camps, for kids ages 7-18, is open through Wednesday at bit.ly/uiaerialcamp.

Campers will learn skills on aerial silks, sling and hoop while building confidence, strength and creativity, according to a UI news release.

The camps, led by theater arts faculty members and Gem State Flyers aerialists, will introduce youths to the basic vocabulary and techniques of aerial performance.

Aerial Basics, for ages 7-12, is from 9 a.m. to noon June 23-27, with a group showcase at 2 p.m. June 28. Tuition is $225.

Aerial Basics + Performance, for ages 13-18, is from 1-4 p.m. June 23-27, and 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 7-11. Showcases are 7 p.m. July 11, and 2 p.m. July 12. Tuition is $375.
