Lewiston musician Chad Bramlet is headed to a private audition with the producers of NBC-TV’s “The Voice.”

Bramlet, 33, was contacted by the show after submitting an online application to “The Voice” website.

Producers listened to his music online at his website, chadbramlet.com, and invited him to a private audition in Denver June 22, says Bramlet’s wife, Alicia Bramlet.

“We were shocked,” she says.

Public auditions for the show are set for June 21 in Denver.

It was the first time he’d ever applied to be on a TV reality music competition, she says. Bramlet’s latest album, “This Side of Time,” features 11 songs about brokenness and redemption. In early June, he will travel to Nashville to record his next album. He is slated to sing the national anthem July 19 at Rockin' on the River in Clarkston which will feature the bands Fuel, Filter and Tantric.

The next season of “The Voice” is scheduled to begin in the fall. Each season’s winner receives $100,000 and a record deal with University Music Group.
