KAYLEE BREWSTER

Binge-watching is the latest trend in television. The only problem is, once you finish you’re desperate for your next fix. For those who find themselves in that situation, here is a list of shows to satisfy your TV tastes, all of which are currently available on Netflix and many can be found on Hulu and Amazon Prime. This is by no means a comprehensive list because you’ve likely already finished “Daredevil,” “Jessica Jones,” “Orange is the New Black,” “House of Cards,” and “Making a Murderer.” If not, well, you know where to start.

“Luther”

[embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQ0HDYZQvWs[/embed] What it’s about: A brilliant London detective who uses any means necessary to catch his criminals. Watch if: You are looking for a cross between “Sherlock” and Bryan Fuller’s “Hannibal.” Definitely dark, but Idris Elba is a wonder to watch. Commitment level: Low — four seasons with only four-six episodes per season. But this show is tense, so prepare for a fast marathon.

“Chuck”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hykkUZMSv5o What it’s about: A nerdy electronic-store employee accidently “downloads” all the government’s secrets into his brain and the country’s top spies are sent to protect him. Watch if: You are looking for a fun action-comedy made by nerds for nerds. Commitment level: Five seasons. Depending on your binge time, it should last at least a couple months.

“Broadchurch”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oc_2IABeWUs What it’s about: A quiet community is rocked by the murder of a local boy. Watch if: You are looking for a murder-mystery that is both gripping and realistic. Commitment level: Three seasons, but it is suspenseful and can get so emotionally raw at times you have to take a break to avoid a complete mental collapse. For your health, stretch this one out over a couple of months.

“M*A*S*H”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FM42Sp1Pqlo What it’s about: The medical staff at an mobile Army hospital during the Korean war. Watch if: If you are looking for the perfect blend of humor and heart. Commitment level: Eleven seasons, so strap yourselves in. This binge is for the pros.

“Friends”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGTOru7pwL8&nohtml5=False What it’s about: Friends (obviously) living in New York and the general shenanigans that ensue. Watch if: So no one told you life was gonna be this way. Your job’s a joke, you’re broke, your love life’s D.O.A. It’s like you’re always stuck in second gear. When it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month, or even your year, “Friends” is there for you. Commitment level: Ten seasons. Another one only to be attempted by the ultra-committed.

“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fBDiiJT4ck&nohtml5=False What it’s about: A vampire-slaying cheerleader. Watch if: You’ve already seen Joss Whedon’s “Firefly” and feel ripped off. Commitment level: Seven seasons, which is perfect for intermediate bingers looking for something to last a while.

“30 Rock”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcQdtDOTQ5M&nohtml5=False What it’s about: A comedy sketch writer in New York City who has to deal with her crazy stars, lazy writers and overbearing boss. Watch if: You’ve already seen Tina Fey’s “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” and you miss Amy Poehler’s “Parks and Recreation.” Commitment level: Six season with 20-minute long episodes. Estimated binge-time: three to six months.

“Lost”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTu8iDynwNc&nohtml5=False What it’s about: Survivors of a plane crash try to live on an island, like the non-reality version of “Survivor.” Watch if: You started watching when it was on TV but got, well ... lost. Commitment level: Six seasons, but this show can be addictive and you might just want to get it over with as fast as possible.
