Rising Momentum
The University of Idaho Dance Program will hold its annual fall main stage concert, Rising Momentum, at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 5-7 and 2 p.m. Nov. 8 in the Hartung Theatre on the UI campus. The concert features 18 UI dance students performing works from faculty members. Tickets are $10 for general and $8 for UI students, and can be purchased at www.uidaho.edu/ticketoffice or by calling (208) 885-7212. There will be a Q&A with choreographers and dancers following the Nov. 8 matinee.
Arsenic and Old Lace Tickets are now on sale for Lewiston Civic Theatres production of Arsenic and Old Lace, which opens at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 5 at the Lewiston Civic Theatre, 805 6th Ave., Lewiston. The play will run until Nov. 22 with show times at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $8 for children 12 and younger, $11 for students with an ID, $12 for seniors 60 and older and $14 for adults. Arsenic and Old Lace is a dark comedy centered around the Brewster family and how they deal with two spinster aunts who are hiding a secret in their cellar. Arsenic and Old Lace was originally written by Joseph Kesserling in 1939. It has since then become best known for its film adaptation, starring Cary Grant.
Jim Breuer Tickets to see former Saturday Night Live comedian Jim Breuer perform Jan. 21 at the Northern Quest Resort and Casino will go on sale at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Tickets range from $35-$55 and can be purchased at www.northernquest.com or by calling (509) 481-6700. With more than 20 years of stand-up comedy experience, Jim Breuer was named one of Comedy Centrals 100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All time. He joined the cast of SNL in 1995 and spent four years entertaining viewers with his original character Goat Boy and dead-on impression of Joe Pesci.
