University of Idaho holds auditions for spring theater season

Auditions for the University of Idaho’s 2022 spring theater season are set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 15 at the Hartung Theater, 625 Stadium Drive, in Moscow.


The auditions are open to anyone with an interest in live theater and film, including community members, according to a news release from UI. Callbacks will be held the next day.


The university’s Department of Theatre Arts will produce two staged readings on Zoom of new works by UI Master of Fine Arts students: “Stretched on Your Grave” and “Castlewood,” and two live productions: the dark comedy “Mr. Burns, a Post-Electric Play,” by Anne Washburn, and the musical “Into the Woods,” by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine.


Additionally, UI film students will be casting for their student films.
