Image: The Webster Elementary (Lewiston) Fishing Club went fishing at Head Gate Pond near Asotin, Wash., on May 22. The club has members in grades 4-6 and it is free. This is the club’s 10th year of teaching fishing skills to students. The photo was taken by Londa Collins who works at Webster Elementary.

Image: Whitman Elementary students in grades 4th,5th & 6th visited Head Gate Pond after school on May 16th as part of the Annual PTA Fishing Trip. Students caught 40 fish in total. And the biggest fish caught was a 14 inch Rainbow Trout!

Girl Power visits LCSC Tennis Team

Image: The Webster Elementary Girl Power group visited the LCSC Tennis Center on March 20, 2019 for a field trip. The girls are members of an after-school group and the girls are ages 9-12 years old. Image: Connor Nitz, 11 and Joey Church, 10, are members of the Webster Elementary Fishing Club. At the Fishing Awards Party on May 4, each earned double trophies. Connor won a trophy for the most fish and the smallest fish. Joey won a trophy for the most fish and the biggest fish. Connor's mother is Leann Warren of Lewiston. Joey's parents are Alex & Jeane Church of Lewiston. Thomas O'Brien of Lewiston took the photo. Each Fishing Club member also received a Fishing Medal and the group is sponsored by the Deatley Family Foundation.
