Cast members, Amber Heasley, Christian Syerson and Aubree Flaners will be in Abuzz Theatre's production "Completley Hollywood (abridged)."

When they crammed 37 plays into 100 minutes of comedy, writers Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor hit it big with “The Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged).”

In 2010, they took on the silver screen with “Completely Hollywood (abridged),” reducing 197 movies into 100 minutes. The result is unlikely mash-ups like Jessica Tandy and Robert DeNiro in the feel-good movie, “Taxi Driving Miss Daisy;” Rosie O’Donnell starring in the musical “My Big Fat Fair Lady;” and Akira Kurosawa directing Disney’s next big hit “Snow White and the Seven Samurai.”

Directed by Michelle Adamson-Brandt, the show opens Friday at Abuzz Theater in Clarkston. Actors Aubree Flanery, Amber Heasley and Christian (CJ) Syverson play multiple characters in the fast-paced romp filled with physical comedy and rapid-fire costume changes, so many costume changes that each actor has their own dresser waiting behind stage.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30  April 24, 25, 30 and May 1-2.  Doors open at 3:30 p.m. May 3 with the show starting at 4 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are available in advance online at www.abuzztheatre.com and at the door at 909 Sixth St.
