MOSCOW — The University of Idaho Jazz Bands and Jazz Choirs will perform a concert at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the Haddock Performance Hall on the UI campus here.

Admission is $5 regular price at the door, and $3 for students and seniors.

The hall is on the corner of Blake and West Sweet avenues.

CLARKSTON — A Mother’s Day Luau Dinner and Show will be Saturday at United Methodist Church here, 1242 Highland Ave.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner featuring Hawaiian cuisine will be served at 6:30.

A 90-minute Polynesian show featuring dancers of all ages will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Tickets for children ages 6 to 10 are $8, and children 5 and younger are admitted free. Advance tickets are available by calling Bill Kaaihue at (208) 791-5375.

OROFINO — Motorcyclists will take to the track Saturday in the 2015 Orofino LoggerXross to be held at the Orofino City Lumberjack Arena.

Practice and qualifying races begin at noon, the main show’s opening ceremonies begin at 6 p.m. Pro practice will immediately follow. There will be 10 classifications of racers.

Organizers expect National Endurocross racers and X Games regulars, and Dave Brocious of Arizona will be the race announcer.

A variety of vendors will provide food and beverages for sale, and the Orofino Chamber of Commerce will have a beer garden.

Tickets are $15 with children ages 5 and younger being admitted free.

MOSCOW — Children and families can help solve a “Mystery at the Bowers Lab” from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Bowers Laboratory of Anthropology on the University of Idaho campus here, 404 Sweet Ave.

The free event will allow children to help solve a mystery while celebrating Idaho Archaeology and Historic Preservation month. UI archaeologists will join with children to explore Idaho’s native plants and animals, conduct archaeological excavations, make stone tools, build maps and more. Light refreshments will be available.

PULLMAN — The Palouse River Rollers All Stars of Pullman will skate a roller derby bout against the Snake Pit Derby Dames of Coeur d’Alene at 7 p.m. Saturday in the gym at the Gladish Community and Cultural Center here.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for the event at 115 N.W. State St. Tickets are $5 in advance from team members or online at www.palouseriverrollers.com. Tickets will be $8 at the door and children ages 10 and younger are admitted free.

Food and drink will be available for purchase.

LEWISTON — Effusio Dance Theatre of Lewiston will perform from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday in Silverthorne Theater in the Administration Building on the campus of Lewis-Clark State College here.

Dances on the program include modern, ballet and belly dance, featuring members of LC Valley Belly Dance.

Admission is a donation of $5.

MOSCOW — “Teen Wolf” starring Michael J. Fox will continue May’s “Back to the ’80s” film series Tuesday at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre here.

The comedy will be shown at 7 p.m. at the theater, 508 S. Main St. The film series continues May 19 with “Back to the Future,” also starring Fox, and on May 26 with “The Goonies.”

All three movies are from 1985 and are rated PG. All will begin at 7 p.m. and admission is $3 for each film.
