Last month we invited readers to design our cover. Today well begin showcasing their talent. Great thanks to everyone who took the time to create and send us work. We received everything from actual paintings to computer graphics to drawings on the blank cover we published Sept. 21.
Todays cover captures the spirit of the contest. It was created by Geoff Bordeaux, a 20-year-old graphics and communications student at Lewis-Clark State College.
In the coming months well feature the fun, eye-catching designs of other contest winners:
Trudy Rauch of Lewiston Robert Perret of Troy Stephanie Hood of Lewiston Slap Happy Unlimited: David A. Wilson of Genesee and Steven D. Craft of Portland Don Brigham of Clarkston (designed two winning covers)
A blue ribbon next to our On the Cover explanation inside 360 will distinguish contest winners. Anyone who participated received an Inland 360 sticker, while those whose work will be featured on the cover won a set of stickers and two movie tickets.
If you missed a chance to participate this year, we plan to bring the contest back next year -- so theres plenty of time to work on your 9.75 inches deep by 10.5 inches wide masterpiece.
