PULLMAN — “Middleton,” the movie shot last summer on the Washington State University campus, will be shown in an advance screening with the director and producer Friday, March 22 at WSU.

The film will be shown at 5:30 p.m. in the WSU Compton Union Building Auditorium. Admission is free. Director Adam Rodgers and producer Glenn German will follow the screening with a question and answer session.

The film was titled “Admissions” when it was in production last July. The movie is a romance staring Andy Garcia and Vera Farmiga, who play parents who fall in love while taking their children on a college admissions tour.

WSU’s oldest building, the turreted Thompson Hall, was one of the locations used while shooting the film that is set on a fictional American college campus called Middleton. Other locations filmmakers used included the Entrance Arch; Honors, Murrow and Bryan halls; Thompson Hall; and the walkways between them. Hundreds of college-aged extras were recruited from around the region to appear in several scenes.

The film was also shot at college campuses in Spokane and elsewhere in Washington.
