Join local poet Christine McDonald for selected readings of her poems about nature, plants and celebrating our beautiful world, in honor of Earth Day, which will take the following weekend.
Attendees will enjoy readings from the following original poems: "Where All That is Wild is Free," "Wild Calling," "Wonders," "If Only Once" and "An Invitation." McDonald works as a forest soil scientist and environmental consultant and is a passionate gardener and hiker. She lives in the Palouse hills of eastern Washington with her husband and their dog
Tobi. Her first book, "My Two Mothers, A Collection of Poetry and Prose," came out in 2017 and explores the healing journey with her birth mother and the earth. She is working on a children's book with local artist Julene Ewert, “Just Imagine a More Beautiful World.” While this event is geared toward adults, youth are also welcome.
