If you’re not taking time to relax this summer, you’re not doing it right.
And with a number of free, family-friendly summer movie series in the area, you’ve got no excuses not to head out of the house and enjoy some summertime entertainment on the big screen -- and don’t forget your lawn chair and blanket. Here are a few local opportunities:

Moscow: Saturday Market Cartoons WHEN: 9 a.m. - noon, Saturdays WHERE: Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre, Moscow ADDITIONAL INFO: Classic cartoons will be shown every Saturday morning through September, except July 8. Sponsored by the center and local businesses. Chairs and blankets are not needed at this indoor venue.

Kamiah: Movies Under the Stars WHEN: Dusk, Aug. 11 WHERE: Life Center Church, Kamiah ADDITIONAL INFO: Movie is “Napoleon Dynamite.” Concessions available for purchase. Youth under 7th grade must be accompanied by an adult. Co-sponsored by Upriver Youth Leadership Council Youth Advisory Board and Impact Youth Ministries.
In addition to these free movie series, there are a number of low-cost movie series, including the Children’s Matinee Series at the Village Centre Cinemas in Lewiston, Moscow and Pullman and the Summer Matinee Movie Series at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre in Moscow.
