Due to a comedy special taping, Jim Gaffigan has canceled his Nov. 6, 2015 performance at Washington State University. Organizers said they hope to reschedule the date in the near future and that a new act will be announced soon.
Washington State University announced today that Jim Gaffigan will headline a show 7:30 p.m. Nov. 6 at Beasley Coliseum for its annual Dad's Weekend. Tickets will go on sale in August and prices are not yet determined.
Gaffigan is a Grammy nominated comedian, New York Times Best Selling author and top touring performer. A father of five, his family often provides fodder for his stand-up comedy.
He will serve as executive producer and star in The Jim Gaffigan Show" set to premier in July on TV Land and Comedy Central. His 2015 tour is called "Contagious."
Gaffigan's fourth hour-long special, Obsessed, premiered on Comedy Central in 2014 and the DVD/CD premiered at No. 1 on iTunes in the Comedy category. The album also earned a nomination for Best Comedy Album of the Year at the 2015 Grammys. In 2013, his first book "Dad is Fat" debuted at No. 5 on the New York Times Bestsellers List, remaining on the list for 17 weeks. His second book, "Food: A Love Story" was released in the fall of 2014 and debuted at No. 3.
