When: Thursdays-Sundays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Continues through Nov. 26 2023
Artwork by members of the Palouse Watercolor Socius will be exhibited through November. The group was founded in 1974 by women studying art under the tutelage of University of Idaho professor Alf Dunn. Upon his retirement, and having a thirst to continue learning about art, a group of women including Linda Wallace, Penny David, Kay Montgomery, Rene Helbling, Jo Thompson, and Dorothy Shelton formed the Palouse Watercolor Socius. Its mission is to encourage and promote watercolor artists and foster an awareness of water media on the Palouse and to give back to the local community through donations of artwork or funding. Anyone with an interest in art is welcome to attend a meeting, held at 10 a.m. on the first Wednesday of the month at the 1912 Center. A reception for the show is set for 1-3 p.m. Nov. 5.
