This collage that made the cover for this week's Inland 360 was created from submissions of the black-and-white photo contest.

Winter is a time of stark contrast, which has a particular beauty of its own. In that spirit, we asked readers to share their best black-and-white photos taken over the past few weeks.

Thank you to each person who took the time to share a photo with us. It was hard to choose between the entries, many of which captured the solitude of the season. Here are our three winners. Each will receive two movie tickets to area theaters.
