Second in a three-part series of "Primal Forces" exhibitions (Earth, Wind, Fire) premiering at the National Quilt Museum. Features nearly 40 art quilts from different artists depicting the subject in diverse and innovative ways. The exhibition was created by Studio Art Quilt Associates Inc., a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote the art quilt, defined as a creative visual work that is layered and stitched or that references this form of stitched layered structure. Funding for the exhibit has been provided in part by the Idaho Commission on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. The center’s gallery hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursdays. Also open by appointment.
