MOSCOW — Erik Bowen will perform 7:30-9:30 p.m. during Open Jazz Jam at Bucer’s Coffeehouse Pub, 201 S. Main St. There’s no cover charge and all ages are welcome.
Bucer’s offers an eclectic blend of live music Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Its live shows feature jazz, blues, Americana, Indie, folk, rock and singer-songwriter musicians.

MOSCOW — Bill McDorman from the Rocky Mountain Seed Alliance will discuss issues surrounding the centralization of the seed industry and why it’s important to transition to a local seed economy during a talk at 6:30 p.m. at BookPeople of Moscow, 508 S. Main St. The presentation is part of the Rocky Mountain Seed Alliance’s Going to Seed summer tour.
The Rocky Mountain Seed Alliance is a nonprofit organization that works to connect communities in the Rocky Mountain West with the seeds that sustain them.

CLARKSTON — Community members can join the fun during “Thank You Police Officers and Firemen Day” from noon-midnight at Lancer Lanes and Casino, 1250 Bridge St. Events include bowling, golf and a meet-and-greet with Clarkston’s first responders. There will also be a $15 dinner of ribs, pulled pork, coleslaw and beans.
The event will wrap up with a Johnny Cash tribute show by Brandon Cash. Tickets for the show are $12 and can be purchased by calling Lancer Lanes and Casino at (509) 758-4400.

UNIONTOWN — The Senders will perform at 7 p.m. at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn, 419 N. Park Way. The Senders is considered one of the best cover bands in the Inland Northwest and its show will feature popular music from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Tickets are sold only at the door and are $25 for a couple or $15 for a single.
The Senders has played for community events, dances, concerts and weddings since December 1987. The band is composed of Hal Logan on drums, Jim Roberts on guitar, Jon Anderson on keyboard and Mark Snodgrass on bass.
WEDNESDAY
PULLMAN — Students from central Washington will perform in “Las Memorias,” a unique Washington State University outreach program that combines writing, performance and theater to help students prepare for college. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. at Daggy Jones Hall Theatre on the WSU campus.
Founded by John Fraire, WSU’s former vice president for student affairs and enrollment, the program aims to increase retention rates of Latino and other under-served high school students in the rural communities of central Washington. Admission for “Las Memorias” is free.
