Vying for $100,000 and a new car, the Martin family of Clarkston will compete on the TV game show “Family Feud” Friday morning.

The family is represented by Bryan, an account executive; aunt Vonnie, a corrections assistant; aunt Terry, a teacher; uncle Rollie, an electrician; and mother Shelly, an administrative assistant, according to a press release from the program. The Martin family is pitted against the Molnar family of Chicago.

“We have watched ‘Family Feud’ since we were kids so we thought it would be fun to try out for this adventure,” Terry told the show’s producers. “If we win we will probably use the money for college tuition for the kids.”

The family got a spot on the show after calling the “Family Feud hotline” for an interview. The show was filmed in front of a live studio audience in Atlanta.

“Family Feud” originally premiered in 1976. Each episode features two families competing against each other to name the most popular responses to a survey question posed to 100 people. The show has been canceled and renewed several times over the years and had a series of hosts. The current version is in its 14th season and features comedian Steve Harvey.
